Waiting

Waiting is not something Kirra is known for.  Her look does say it all.

Of course, I know my place and ensure that I respond immediately.

Sitting Pretty

How pretty my sweet Kirra looks, and her pose does attract admiring glances and attention from those she meets along the way.

Snow and New Coat

As you can see, we have had a wee drop of snow and an ideal opportunity to try out my new coat.

I think my dad is sooooo jealous of my coat, but then I am a Princess. -x-

Water

Kirra believes water is for drinking (only) and therefore likes to keep a safe distance from this wee brook.

Frost of Day

The frost of last year, is looking closer each day as the cold temps become evident, at least Kirra has nice fur coat to keep her warm, and of course her cozy luxury coat when its raining or really cold.

Just an update, snow has arrived, at least up on the moors, which we can see from our home.  I guess the snow shovel and gloves and thermals will have to have their cobwebs removed.

Dad and Hospital

My dad had to go to hospital early this morning, his appointment with the Cardiologist, and boy was it soooo cold with a sharp frost.

Of course, I protected the home with my due skills of observation and alert to every sound.

And dad is back on dialysis early on Tuesday afternoon, so that means another alert day and night,

We all like to see art, and my Kirra is no exception, she clearly has taken an interest here, although, me thinks, it is because she has an idea this is a cafe too.

When out and about, I feel as if my Kirra is watching me.

Waiting at the table, is not something Kirra usually does.  However, an oversight on my part, meant she had to wait for her dinner a little later – hence her disapproving look.

Today

A stormy today, and Kirra thinks it best indoors.

Summer

Summer was a joy of outdoors and new smells from up here in the dales.

Alas, the winter predictions for our location are not looking too good, with snow and extremely low temperatures predicted from middle of November right through into January.  I don't know how reliable this prediction.  I just know that it will be an interesting experience. 

I have to drive to and from the hospital x 3 nights a week in order to undergo Dialysis, and the road has to be treated with respect, even in normal conditions, therefore driving in snow and ice will be a slow experience and knowing my Kirra is waiting for her daddy to return, does mean being careful and considerate when on the roads.

Birthday Girl

 

My Irish Princess is 4 today.  This is the 1st photo I received of my then puppy when she lived in Ireland.  As you can see I fell in love with her immediately.

 

She had to travel on (2) ferries to get to me and the weather was stormy conditions – but she made it safely and was a joy to finally see her.  She was in a travel cage for the journey and now she has a fabric travel carrier,which is huge, although collapses for easy transport.  She still loves her fabric travel carrier and often looks on it as her quiet comfort zone.

 

How the years have flown over and throughout, Kirra has brought so much happiness into my life, and indeed all that she meets.
